Description:
"Obscure" is a compliment.

New group for those who appreciate and even favor less popular (but thoroughly amazing!) Asian artists. Artists can be from absolutely anywhere in Asia. Russia is...

Feel free to use the forums (only for group-related discussions, of course) and to recommend artist connections! Sorry, no file sharing here please.

What hell's wrong with you people complaining about the charts? This group is mainly for discussing and sharing "obscure" asian talents and not necessarily a group for those who listen to obscure asian talents. Jesus...reminds me of that idiot who complained about the charts on the "one-hit wonder" group not being one hit wonders.

If you happen to be in London next Tuesday, 21st April, I recommend the UK premiere of BAKIRINOSU, a female acapella duo from Osaka, Japan. Fed by diverse influences, the twin voices of Bakirinosu have their roots in popular Japanese music and travel, a cappella, along melodic lines that evoke both European folklore and the sound of unknown threnody, from further away. Part of Osaka’s art scene, Ras and Gaki collaborated on rock projects before testing out a more daring formula based on song. Bakirinosu is a young group, whose candour is captivating and whose voices are beautifully simple, spontaneous and tranquil, oscillating between ethnic breathlessness and poetic nursery rhymes. BAKIRINOSU live at CAFE OTO, London Tuesday 21 April 2009, 20h00 18-22 Ashwin Street, Dalston, London E8 3DL, www.cafeoto.co.uk Book now at http://www.wegottickets.com/event/45498 £8 in advance, £10 at the door

I would say KEKAL is one of the most underrated Asian bands. They have excellent music that stays in obscurity. http://www.last.fm/music/kekal
