Alex, a delayed thanks! and response to your post on my wall. I'll quote it first, "With regard to NURL - I think Fopp is the best thing since sliced bread and easily spend my entire student loan there. But, we have stuff Fopp will never have. Plus, we can provide reccomendations and a chance to listen before you borrow. You know its a good deal!" One more thing is I actually hardly listen to CDs, I buy albums to rip them and put them on my phone, and only listen to a CD when I really have a lot of spare time. However, I rediscovered Chuck Mangione recently and have to research his work properly. I'll try to come some time. Good luck for exams.

Put them in the red book if you want them!

How about CDs by local artists and bands that are based in Nottingham but aren't 'local' bands in the classic sense... (ie like Six by Seven, Luxury Stranger, The Kull etc)

Good day good people, This friday the powers that be will be meeting to decide on the next batch of CDs to buy in. We try to keep up but stuff does slip us by so PLEASE lets have your suggestions. Scribble them in the "Big Red Book" by the CD player or on our Wall. Also, we've ended up with a couple of copies of some albums so we're flogging some CDs for £1. Cheap Christmas pressie? Have a look in the box on the desk. And finally we're putting two new CDS on the shelves this week; the new albums by Jim O'Rourke and Noah & the Whale are now available for borrowing. I've been looking to join for 3 years, but I was broke and decided not to spend on music. And then I discovered how cheap music was in fopp/hmv and I'm probably never going to visit in the end. I guess NURL's still a good idea for some people. Good work guys.
