I've been a bastard again and unconnected Neon Indian (twas' near the top) ( but have not given them a fair chance yet, as the only song I've heard of them is awful) and connected Geeshie Wiley. All towards my never ending love of Delta Blues...this time with a new and surprising discovery of Women artist's.

Blunderbuss is straight TITS. I've also been all over Dr. Dog and Dr. John's new albums. They are also TITS.

Everyone listen to Mark Lanegan Band's new album Blues Funeral. Prettyyyyy groooveyyy. I would compare it to Tom Waits but good sounding.

I highly recommend that anyone with a taste for instrumental progressive metal check out Animals As Leaders.. Amazing.. Tobin Abasi is phenomenal.

Oh, and I'm still a little sore that Jeff Mangum is playing MLPS the night of the last Deadpan. The curse of timing...

New Atlas sound is dreamy and catchier than some of Cox's earlier stuff. (not that I disliked the ambient material.)

Gotta agree with Maceface on the Tom Waits album, I've racked many spins in a few days. Das Racist was a delight @ the Blue Moose. Also, I know I came out hating against the most recent Arctic Monkeys album, but after further review there are a few songs I would recommend. Also, if you haven't listened to Pretty Lights for an entire afternoon, then you should, Also, Swag!!!

Bad As Me is a gem, Tom Waits's thirst to release quality material will not be quenched! I also checked out Seth MacFarlane's (Family Guy, et al.) album, and it's pretty awesome. Mostly American vocal jazz standards, as far as I can tell - personal favorite "The Sadder But Wiser Girl." Das Racist was a pretty good show, I think they really are afraid of small towns.
