  I believe Noise Pop is pretty ambiguous term. I always thought about the better half of C86 which to me were bands like BogShed, Stump, Big Flame, A Witness, Shrubs and MacKenzies (spelled?). McCarthy was the only pure pop band of that album which I liked. Age Of Chance and Wedding Present were maybe something else (both excellent in their early days). The rest to me sounded like Beatles on sleeping pills. So by my definition BogShed are the kings of Noise Pop. Never understood the Jesus & MC hype. Some songs are OK. Loved it when people told how shitty their 20 minute gigs were. I think that was quite a couple of years before C86. I'm not so familiar with these bands, but that better half of C86 reminded to me to stuff I heard before like Pop Group, Swell Maps or New York No Wave and of course the German stuff I used to hate at that time, for example Palais Schaumburg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI876rqao8A Love Hüskers, but wouldn't consider them Noise Pop by any definition.
