don't know if we're that no wave but I know we're inspired by the scene. I'd say it's fast noise-punk. It's not that bad. Have a listen if you feel for it.

People are honestly still getting all snobbish about the whole Radiohead thing? Honestly, I'm not going to adhere to an all-encompassing relativism, but considering this a No Wave group, what makes a newly faddish group like Animal Collective immune from such talk of purges? At least Radiohead had one album that meant something, and I can't but believe that it would be extremely churlish to deny that the chronotopical perfection (its relevance in its particular time-space period) of OK Computer should count towards something. And add Red Transistor. I'd be tempted to remove Sonic Youth, too (as well as Eno, whose exclusivity on the No New York comp was a huge failure of conception and understanding).

thanks. although Thirlwell is impossible to pigeonhole (industrial? cinematic? jazz even?!) you can't deny his contribution to 'no wave' as an artist and producer.

I uploaded a picture of Jim Sclavunos from the Teenage Jesus & The Jerks show on the Mike Patton curated ATP festival on their page if anyone is interested. Didn't get any good photos of Lydia Lunch since she was very short and had a notestand. Got some allright pictures of Thurston Moore. but the picture i uploaded was the best one from the show. the show was fantastic.
