On the first Monday of every month, take your iPod off shuffle mode!

We like random... but but but albums are good too! Join the group and start scrobbling every first Monday.

  • 1. The first rule of No Shuffle Day is: No Shuffle. No randomness. Just choice. Make a playlist. Decide.
  • 2. The second rule of No Shuffle Day is: listen to the whole album. (concept albums rule!)
  • 3. The third rule of No Shuffle Day is: Discover the artist.
  • 4. The fourth rule of No Shuffle Day is: Take the pledge and let your friends know!
  • 5. The fifth rule of No Shuffle Day is: Scrobble / Tweet / Spotify your tracklist - share the love!


Don't get us wrong - we like random. But, but, but...
We think albums are a Good Thing.
We believe some tracks make more sense when you listen to them together. And we believe there is more to artists than just their hits.
So on the first Monday of every month, take a break. Unclick that little shuffle icon, and let your favourite artists take you by the hand.

Go continuous. Stick it out. See how things go.

    +1 Yetaxa. I considered joining, but then I realised the vast majority of my days are No Shuffle Days already.... Albums are the way to really get to know an artist. Whether it's a 35 minute cd of 15 tracks, or a 8 hour DVD-A of 3 tracks.

    The next No Shuffle Day is July 5th! ... and the theme this month is "Heat". I don't know about you, but here it's getting too hot to even wear headphones. I think it's time for This Heat, more Hot Chip (any excuse, heh?), and a hunt for all the cover versions of "Warm Leatherette" ever released. The heat hunt is on!
