Why do beings come into existence? maybe it's in our education to seek for a purpose. but still..

This is the real nihilistic group, as I've seen all the others on this site are quite stupid and irrelevant, many of them not really debating or understanding what nihilism is.

People joining this group should agree that beyond all local and temporal pleasures, to a "trained" eye life still looks like a bad joke. We just come into existence without knowing anything about the reality of the matter. Except for the stupid tales that some people invent to justify a sense in being alive.

If you don't think life looks just like a sad joke it clearly means you haven't lived enough and you probably shouldn't join here.
This being said, debates about the usefulness/uselessness of being alive or the meaning of it, are encouraged.

You are over-thinking your existence. Before this common era of humanity all we did was hunt and gathering and fuck. That's essentially all you should really care about, since we don't hunt and gather anymore the arts and going for hikes/biking fill that gap for me. You should feel free because of nihilism and not less free.

Life has no meaning, each person is supposed to create their own meaning through life experience. To live life fully is to be true to one's self and be become an individual instead of a mindless clone of the mass populace. At least that's what I think, I bet my views will change as I grow older and the more I think about this topic. :/

@SunkenCorpse: Because there is no absolute method or principle by which you can cope with your life or reality itself the best way. And reason is one of those methods. It only works when you can observe and analyze things.

You're right, but I don't believe that there exist any method, which could prove anything undeniably. Content of all words, opinion, claims can be negated, and this is becouse they don't based on undeniable claims, but only on artificial assumptions. Nothing is based on safe basis, everything is based on nothing. I don't say that my statement is true, however it hard to me to imagine that is otherwise...

that is your words in meaning your over-interpretation. Also in that way we can speak about God, use different methology semantics, phenomology but we can only digg bigger hole. And logical thinking its not the only possiblity of thinking.

Exactly, so I think that "there's no way to know what is the absolutely truth" sounds better - at least it don't denies itself.

seems to me if youre older that philosophical term ''nihlism'' doesnt make that sense to you like when you was teenager or something like that. I think if you have job, girlfriend/wife kids etc you dont have enough time to think about it. Also to me life its too rich to end it early;p According to Heidegger meaning of ''existence'' there are not so many that kind of people;D

I don't know. May be you are right in some way, may be not. To be honest I don't know much about Nihilism, and even less about Absurdism. I don't identify with this philosophy, I only sympathize with it. So far I couldn't find any words that could explain how I feel about the world. Nevertheless, I don't think such a theoretical way is the best approach. For me, it's more important how something resonates within my heart, not within my head. Thoughts are only a tool resulting from the evolution, and reason is just so very limited.

GrubenHocker; go for Absurdism, that solves the point that you've just made. "Searching" for a purpose relies on the assumption that one exists independent of the individual's own will. You're also right that Nihilism is making grandiose claims that this meaning not only cannot be known (epistemological), but does not exist as well (ontological/metaphysical), which according to the standards of Nihilism is impossible for it to claim 'value-free' from the Nihilistic framework. Stick to Absurdism and avoid pseudo-metaphysical denials.
