  I propose The Mountain Goats as a connected artist - aside from being John Green's 1st and 2nd favourite band, he once tweeted "can we just let the #nerdfighters try a collective presidency? I feel this will spread love and improve the public mood. @realjohngreen"

  Milsom may not be a Nerdfighter, but I'm sure that there are plenty of Nerdfighters who listen to him because they found out about him through this Nerdfighting community. You could say he's indirectly connected to members of this group.
