Favorite New York Rappers, Dead or Alive.

    My favorites have to be...
    -Big L
    -Big Pun
    -Notorious BIG
    -50 Cent
    -DMX

  • here

naturally the notorious one would have to be included, but as much as i like him he didnt change my life or anythjing . I admit he came out with two of the best rap albums, and his influence on not only N.Y but the rap game is incredible.. but he did not have that kind of influence on me ... He still makes my fav list, and is probably one of my favorite artists but i dont listen to him as much as most

Nas - he is n.y to me
O.C - took me a while to understand but he is so dope
Talib Kweli - first real rapper i sat down and i could relate to
Mos def- The most lyrical rapper from n.y in my oppinion
The Wu ... who do i chose .. Method Man .. ghostface
    Styles P. (beats out jada)
Foxy brown - wow like the female biggie shes so raw
Az - poor mans nas but was much more than that . There has been plenty of times where hes outshined him in my oppinion
Big Pun - don't sleeep on him , one of my top 5 rappers
big L - some of the wittiest punch lines .. some of the best lines
B.I.G - Grew up on that dude
big Daddy Kane - listened to him a lot as a child... never understood the greatness
LL cool j- I also grew up on him was always told he was the dopest rapper
busta Rhymes - makes some of the livest songs, and is def one of the best performers
Camp-Lo - think that uptown Saturday night was one of the first underground hip hop albums i heard and owned

and Of course A Tribe called Quest ... probably my favorite group from ny (umm blackstar doesnt count)

    and there it is

kaboom ... guess who stepped in the room ...
