I didn't realise Jeff Buckley's voice was so good.

    He's like a choirboy with a stubble.

  • So, is everyone going to vote for themselves first or are we just going to take that for granted?

Only a Partick Thistle supporter would try something like that...

Secret Snacker & Accomplished Pen Thief At:
  • i didnt vote for myself, that would be imoral, like supporting the best team in europe [and therefore the world].. i was just saying i liked those two cds better than my own.

oh, if this is where the confusion is coming from, i quoted myself in a [failed] attempt to correct the error in the list at the top of the page.

    Oooops!

Typing in the dark plus the last.fm gremlins are quite a combination!

I'm giving Mr Buckley another spin tomorrow (spin to win), then it's onto something else.

    John Coltrane looks good.

    John Coltrane - Giant Steps
    Television - Marquee Moon
    The Stooges - Raw Powers

    Those are winners.

  • Banana Album, Marquee Moon and Grace.

I've heard of John Coltrane but I haven't listened to his music. Intriguing. And I haven't heard the whole of Grace so that would be awesome as well.

  • Grace, The Velvet Underground & Nico, Marquee Moon

  • The Velvet Underground and Nico
    Marquee Moon
    John Coltrane

I listened to the "Rid of Me" samples on LastFM, which were interesting but I think the album needs some solid listening to appreciate it.

I'm gonna ignore "the classics" as the newer/more obscure albums won't get a lookin.

    93 'Til Infinity for me!

    mostly-metal's right, '93 was the best year for hip-hop. A vintage. :)

Tough exercise, how was made the list?

Ok vote for : "The Stooges - Raw Power (Remaster version)" even if I already regret it!

    http://sandmusicblog.blogspot.com/

I don't subscribe anymore to Lastfm because there's no Radio for my country and the subscribing price is the same! Rhaa I'm NOT a... sheep. :-) Ha well I suppose in the end I save money each month, more for true music.

Place your album at the sticky thread, here.

It's a rolling thing, we vote for the previous week's placings.

    Ok thanks I see.

I can vote for three but it's not that easy to find all the albums to try be more fair. I only know few, Grace, Rid, Raw, Marquee and VU&N. Find the other isn't so obvious.

  • Okay, it really doesn't seem as if I'm going to get to sufficiently listen to the ones I haven't heard yet this week ... so I'm going to say VU & Nico, Grace and Rid Of Me.

That would be G and H living next to each other on the keyboard (is that).

I'm gonna give Death From Above 1979 a spin.

    Great band.
