    Man With a Movie Camera

Very good jazz, and very cinematic indeed, a movie without pictures.

    Scratchcratchratchatch

Hip-Hop, Pure scratching, Tape recording (Two tracks: Side A & Side B), very brilliant and very funny. Only 500 copies released. Not officially released due to massive amounts of unauthorized samples, so you know where to get it.

    Pick de le Week

    Skalpel

Great jazz 'a la Ninja', rhythmic, groovy, excellent.
Reminds me in some ways of The Cinematic Orchestra form the same Label.

It's quite possible you could meet a Ninja Tune fanatic and have Ninja Tune kids.

.... and live in a Ninja Tune house (with red carpet and walls).

yeah well put some recs down here, i feel a bit lonely!

  • I have one!

One Colour Just Reflects Another (1996)

This is VERY different from the vast majority of Ninja Tune releases. It's still Ninja Tune though and it's interesting to say the least. It even has quirky world music influences (and less beats).

    Pick of the week:

Chewing on Glass & Other Miracle Cures (2004)

This will suit fans of Four Tet and possibly even Tortoise.

In Ninja Tune tradition, a fine album for popping your socks off to.

It may be an idea to copy some recs over to a mood/occasions desk (such as chill) with a "Copied from the Ninja Tune Desk:" header.

I'm doing that for CCO, as interest is at best minimal.

  • i'm sorry for taking up space, but this is seriously weird. i double posted, but when i try to edit one of them, the first one changes to the exact same thing. it's like some sort of 666 sh*t.

    Daedelus - Exquisite Corpse (2005)

an excellent artist, with sideburns to rival the gods.

...and i'm too lazy to check it out :)
Actually i did recently to see if I could increase my Ninja collection, but there's so much i must have missed some of them.

  • Templates (1999)

My short & sweet review: This is what I call electronic jazz, yo! Why I think this is the best Flanger album? It's the most varied. Outer Space/Inner Space comes in as a close runner-up, though, and Spirituals makes me blush with its quirky "jangly" jazz. But this one's great. Just listen to the opener, it's EPIC (and its first part cracks me up; you'll understand)

    Choice cuts:
    Music To Begin With
    Endless Summer
    Quicksilver Loom

  • if ninja tune was a lethal assassin, sean connery, uma thurman, and chuck norris would undoubtedly have their hands full.

Clifford Gilberto - I was Young and needed the Money

really great album, similair vein to amon tobin and squarepusher but much more positive:

One of my favourtie NT releases ever ever.

  • i honestly find squarpusher to have a much different (somewhat faster d&b-esque) style from amon tobin.

This has just arrived, and it's pretty damned neat.

It'll look good at the chill desk. :)
