Yeah, I guess it's hard to nail it much better without explaining alot. Could maybe add that shoegaze sometimes has more of rock or punk estetics, while dream pop leans more towards pop, ethereal or ambient? (of course, many "shoegaze bands" tends to do this too, just to blur the line even more)
