hey! I'm looking for something oscillating near Blur-13 and The Cooper Temple Clause. Basically, guitar-driven but spiced with samples, keys and other non-rock stuff. And, guys, please, except Radiohead, right? :)

QUESTION: what is like Beirut but -most- its "the gulag orkestar" style (the song from the album) ? ah!, and that is not like bregovic and those happy-mexican musics that its ok but not looking for : p more like hopeless tambourine and trumpet . I know there is, even in some american (mexican) indigenous zones sometimes music like that accompanies processions of bloody saints and virgins and stuff : )

is there a good website where one can nerd out on tons of info about albums? for example wikipedia inconsistently has little anecdotes here and there, but is there a better site?

Hi! It's been a while, but Sean Archibald has 10 brand new tracks available for streaming and free download. The album Sean but not Heard is multi-microtonal and made entirely with 2 synths, a drum sampler and acoustic recordings. Been a seriously long time in the making.
