Finding slow, harsh & repetitive industrial, metal and/or noise music is a odyssey. This group is dedicated in specifically finding more bands that fit that monolithic mold from the past & today.

According to the dictonary:

mon·o·lith·ic [mon-uh-lith-ik]
1. of or pertaining to a monolith.
2. consisting of one piece; solid or unbroken.
3. characterized by massiveness, total uniformity, rigidity, invulnerability.

in·dus·tri·al [in-duhs-tree-uhl]
1. style of ~~rock~~ electronic music marked by harsh rhythms, little melody, and nihilistic lyrics.

met·al [met-ul]
1. loose term for and of any sub-genre of heavy metal music.

noise [noiz]
1. sound, esp. of a loud, harsh, or confused kind.
2. a non-harmonious or discordant group of sounds.

This group is dedicated in sharing & enlightening others on the glory days of slow, monolithic harsh noise which includes the likes of industrial metal, noise, drone, harsh EBM, etc. The group is not limited to also embracing the likes of funeral doom metal, sludge, crust punk, avant-garde, grunge, stoner rock, death metal, black metal and related genres, BUT we focus on the SLOOOOOW and DOOOOOMY shit. Think Godflesh, or Khanate, get your head outta the gutter if you're thinking Rammstein.

The download thread is what you're probably joining the group for, which is only for members of this group. It has out of print, rare/hard to find and obscure monolithic industrial, metal and noise recordings.

Why not make the forum public, especially the download thread?
To make this group a big and well respected industrial based collective on last.fm so more people will view the group and be more enlightened on the great days of industrial music. Plus it keeps out unwanted leeches.

Apparently most of the artists in these genres don't like releasing official lyrics so post some lyrics or request lyrics for albums if you have any!

I made this change because I notice there's too many people downloading, and not as much contributing other than from some dedicated folks.
