For all fans of Milburn, possibly the most underated band in the world

Milburn were a band from Sheffield consisting of Joe (Bass and a lot of singing) Louis (Guitar and a bit of singing) Tom (Guitar and a bit of singing) Greeny (Drums and a bit of tambourine). Over 2 albums they demonstrated a huge variety in sound and influence, always with a base of catchy melodies and well thought out lyrics.

Sadly, following harsh treatment from the british music press, Milburn decided to call it a day in 2008. They left a legacy not only of 2 great albums but also a huge selection of b-sides and demos, most of which could have been singles in their own right. Gone but not forgotten

Hey, guys, does anybody know where I can download/watch their live performances? I have their last one at Sheffield Academy but I'd like to see smth else, please ^_^

Defo the most underated British band of the past couple of years. I think if the 1st album had been produced better, to sound as rough, punchy and live as the demos, and also a bit of advertising on behalf of the Mercury Records, then the lads would easilly have got the respect and sales they deserved. The memories will live on however, especially that special night last May at the Sheff Academy. Just heard some of Joe's new project the other day, The Book CLub, sounds really good and melodic, and lyrics are great!
