*EVEN* easier way of Installing Audioscrobbler plugin for MediaMonkey!

  • Works like a charm

    Follow these steps

    1) http://www.thorrune.net/filedump/gen_wa2_scrobbler.dll
    2) paste the DLL into C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Plugins
    3) Install Last.fm, It will ask you to chose the installed player, leave it unchecked
    4)exit Last.fm and mediamonke
5)Restart - BINGO it should work

    Worked great, thank you.

  • ?!

What a crap. The only thing "working" is that scrobbler uploads the in mm played tracks. Wow... how about implement it in mm?! Using its buttons(especially the global shortcuts to for example play next track when in other fullscreen app). Or showing it in mm interface.

Scrobbler still thinks i got no player in backround, he says "download plugin" and i cant update my whole media libary to scrobbler. So, if you ask my... suckage.

Or do i do anything wrong?

  • worked perfectly. as if I was still using winamp.

  • Thank you romyeo4u!!!

I've tried everything else (believe me!) and following your instructions (above) romyeo4u was the only thing that worked for me...as you say "Works like a charm". And also couldn't be easier to do! Thanks so much!!!

I wonder why trying to use other plugins when Native one exists?

    http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/general/

  • Excellent, that worked for me (I tried the other method first, but couldn't get it to "scrobble" the tracks I played on MM). Thanks a lot!

(Couldn't install the native plugin, got an error message every time I tried.)

  • Thanks. Just back to Last.fm and MediaMonkey after a long respite. Appreciate being able to jump back in quick. :)

  • Works perfect, almost that is. Cds played on disc drive the are not scrobbled, even when tagged correctly.

Because the native version doesn't work properly, at least for me. When I stop a track, last.fm thinks it's still playing - and worse, it only submits tracks once they have played completely, rather than at 50% through like the winamp plugin does.

    MM 3.2.0

I've updated to MM 3.2.0 and it seems the Winamp plug-in is not working any more. It sends a few songs then "silence". I've tried reinstalling but it doesn't help. Newer versions either. I don't like the official plug-in because it only scrobbles full played tracks. Is anyone seeing this?

  • romyeo4u you are a genius. Using Vista and XP the native last.fm scrobbler worked fine, but no way with Windows 7 :-(. Your fix works perfectly (for me) with Windows 7 :-)

  • blergh... they should really show the instructions at the mm site... -.-
    i thought i'm gonna go crazy! O_o

  • Full MediaMonkey Method

  • romyeo4u, you are a genius.

  • But it doubles my scrobbles... help?

  • Nvm. I just need to put the little last.fm icon on red on MM. I know it's supposed to stop the scrobbling then, but instead, it just scrobbles one song at a time.
