So Matt - What's got you shouting at me? - Ian

  • The lesser known artists, I suppose.

Ah yes :) They can make for pretty phenominal listening. Just the ticket, when one's in a mood for "lite discovery". - Best, Ian

  • Who you callin' sista? what's this about lite discovery? I try to listen to something new weekly if not daily.

    Sister Who?

Everyone and no one, I guess. Titles a jovial allusion to what one might hear in a fever-pitch USA Baptist church.

Lite discovery? A relative term, really, horses for courses, as we say. For me:
    • listening to my own LKYSA tag is lite discovery
    • medium-light might be the custom radio here and PTT BEREP radios
    • medium would take in BEREP and splinter groups radios
    • full-on visor-down guns-at-the-ready discovery would be the likes of LKYSA global radio, with dscovery mode on (wondering if it works)
    Something like that. - Ian

  • Sisters in "Lite discovery" mode

Just some stuff I listened through to just now:

    Anne Shelton & Sonavac

TAJ - That sounds a lot like my LKYSA tag :)

Your comments're broadly in-line with how I've all those tagged, except Anne's , since that's how I think it'd've been characterised, back when it was a hit. Do you see a distinction between and /?

Thanx for the Sonavac/Devo comment, yes I imagine what you mean and'll listen to it with fresh ears, next time. The Sonavac track sounds "so London" to me, it's nice to have help in distancing myself and thinking of it with a more independent perspective. - Ian

    Last.fm Twilight Zone!

I was listening to the LAYSA Tracks tag, when posting the above and, just after pressing the button, Human Fly came on! - Ian *boggles*

You're right; I just tend to overextend "pop." The record was a pop record when it was made, just with jazz elements, like many pop records these days have electronica elements.

  • Thanks for the lite discovery definition, I was really just tryin' to act shocked. I really did join to glean knowledge here. I figured this would be the best place to start.
