Join us in fight against the Last.fm's 30second time limit!!

WE SUFFER, BUT WHY?

Listeners of this group listens to songs which are shorter than 30 seconds, and we love those tracks.
So it kinda sucks that we can't get those tracks scrobbled to Last.fm and show the world that we love 'em!

Join the fight against the 30 second time limit!

My newest project with my friend, recorded live in Antz studio, playin' hardcore/punk like Flipper meets Black Flag or maybe Teenage Jesus and the Jerks meets Rudimentary Peni. IDk, check this one out http://archive.org/details/YkDecay-RasahDoCangkeman

hey idiots - if they did enable scrobbles under 30 seconds, the servers would be overloaded by nonstop data requests and the site would either be INSANELY slow like it was in 2007, or it will not load the pages half the time, or not scrobble your songs!! 30 seconds is the shortest sustainable time that their bandwidth can support. this is why you guys aren't website engineers running a site like last.fm and are merely users! [2] Maybe 10sec+

I think Last.fm should have "time listened" instead of plays. [3] Also, this group is fucking awesome.

@ versionfiv, nofuckyou, it may suit you and others who only listen to 3.30min hannamonfuckingtana songs - but last.fm must address to the manner in which USERS use the site! gotobedpleasekid..

total play time would be cool, as well how long each individual track has been played. or at least individual albums.

Last.fm should build charts due to total playing time. Short song scrobbling does not solve the problem because then last.fm will display taste incorrectly, especially if you often listen to different-average-song-length-genres. The same shit in case of very long songs (doom, stoner, drone, etc)

Yeah, I'm really disappointed that all but one of They Might Be Giants' "Fingertips" tracks and Descendents' "I Like Food" and "Wienerschnitzel" won't scrobble.

Urm... I listen to Napalm Death , Carcass and Brutal Truth ... and they have songs that are no longer than 5 seconds ... they all scrobble to my profile.

Its so stupid! The tracks show off in your profile as long as you're playing them, but as soon as the server takes note of their shortness they get deleted afterwards :-@

No need to worry about Last.fm non-sense. It's not a problem. There are softwares to insert blank spaces on our "shorter than 30 seconds" musics. This way they become scrobbleable. =)
