I never used to listen to "old" music, now look at my libary. Excapet watching Every Number 1 of the 80s last year helped too.

I suppose you're into Alice in Chains and Soundgarden as well then? I only recently started listening to grunge, and a whole new world opened up to me... Grunge is awesome!

NIRVANA IS MY FAVORITE4 BAND, and open minded is a optimist.

onto others, it serves no purpose - it's just plain bad karma mate. I for one cannot stand ganstha rap, and dance/trance feels like acid in my ears... but I feel no need to seek out the listeners of these genres and let them know of my preferences...

True true... but then again... If one really is openminded, maybe understanding or tollerant would be a more fitting word, one would refrain from speaking badly of a certain genre or artist in the midst of or near people who really enjoy said artist or group, because one would know that bad music is a matter of taste, and therefore one shouldn't force their oppinion of, say grindcore or new age

Don't think that being 'open-minded' and not objecting to bad music can be compared.

Aye... desP, I can see the problem... Actually I found myself in a situation very much like yours a few years back - and I think it was the very same band that I despised. Oh well, we can't agree on everything

@The7thBobba: it just happened so that most of the people around me love nightwish.. and you probably know how something quickly becomes annoying because it's everywhere you go.

Sure lass! Why don't you sit down, grab an extra cushion and a slice of imaginary pie? Apple or blueberry?

I've come to join the party!!! Any room for me??

  • The7thBobba

Oww... really? What made you hate them? They're definitely not the best symphonic band out there... but Some of their stuff is really great and/or beautiful... You really ought to do yourself a favor, and just once listen to Kuolema Tekke Taiteilijan... who knows? You might just find it to your liking
