    Best track search provider?

The Chrome last.fm plugin let's you choose between the following search providers:

    - vkontakte.ru
    - vk.com
    - vpleer.ru
    - prostopleer.com
    - grooveshark.com

    What is the best choice?

"the blood i shed for you was divine
so turn you head and leave it denied
i call your name in the cold of the night
...now you've become the serpent's spine"
High on Fire - The Face of Oblivion
  • Good question.

All tracks are coming from vkontakte.ru, which is the same as vk.com, so the search feature doesn't affect this. That site gets music the same way YouTube gets videos (and music).

What the search feature does is locate a track on one of those sites. This is helpful if you have an account with one of those sites and want to add a track to a playlist on that site, for example.

To use the player here through last.fm, the search function is not needed.

As a matter of fact, if you just want to "listen to the music", unchecking all 3 boxes on the options pane works best.

  • Hi
I have been installed Last FM free music player in Chrome. But I cant find setting where I can choose search providers. Help me please.

    Nie Bawisz Się, Nie Zyjesz!
  • Looks like that function is gone now.

Again, it didn't affect where the streaming tracks originated from.
