last.fm free music player doesn't work

I still can't get mine to work properly and it bugs me immensely....what would be causing it to behave so erratically while playing, failing to keep up buffering wise (even though net connection is fine). Have i got a flash problem or a java problem or something else.

If some really clever person could give me any real hints i would be greatly thankful!

Make sure you read main page and have a vk.ru account, stay logged on. Other then that you'd have to post, computer specs connections.. ISP where in the world you are.. etc

i had the player working for months just perfectly and i had no vk.ru account. I actually think it is something i have done although obviously i have no idea what. The player works fine on another computer in the same house on the same wi fi. It's almost as if now my laptop is causing the player to go wrong. The player seems to clog up with songs. If you play one right through and then go back and play it again after playing something else the previous song is already there perfectly buffered, as if it is saved. This seems to be messing stuff up. It never did this before. It started doing it at a time which was i think specifically when i was doing some slight tinkering on my laptop, probably on chrome itself - i forget exactly now as it has been quite a while since that started. At the same time lots of web videos also exhibited similar characteristics.

If this sounds familiar to anyone please let me know what it could be. Thank you!

I believe it's an shockwave flash issue.
.
While in Chrome press Shift+Esc then the Task Manager in chrome will show itself. Find the Plug-in: Shockwave Flash and end the process so it restarts. If that help's It can be ether an ram issue (to little of it) to many Extensions installed. Or just that flash sucks and you need to get a forced latest version of the plug-in.

I don't think i'm going to experiment with the dev versions of chrome again as it didn't really work the first time i did that. As to flash, i've tried doing that before and it didn't work - tried again and doesn't seem any better (i will keep trying it though). What you said about extensions installed....what if they are disabled? I have a lot of extensions installed (too many) but not activated. I thought that if they were disabled i could have as many as i wanted to try at a future date etc If just having them installed would affect stuff i would delete all but the most necessary.

As I posted earlier in this thread, I was having problems with the Last.fm player. I happened to be installing another extension and I thought about the player and reinstalled it today and I am currently listening to Last.fm using it. Great to have it again.

Music, like language, is universal.

So I can get it to play any song I want it to, but I'd kind of like for it to be able to scrobble to my account, anyone know how to make that happen?

@Airman9 On the player - make sure the "as" symbol in the bottom right is red. If it's grey, click on it.

It is still working for me, although it occasionally will stop at the end of a track, often the first song on a playlist, instead of going on to the next one.

No blue rounded "Play button"

Since yesterday, I can't play songs at last.fm website, since the blue rounded "Play" button doesn't appear on the left of the song. I only can see the lastfm-original "30 secs. preview" black button.

I just can listen to the songs the plugin has stored from the day before.

Maybe it's due to changes at last.fm? I've noticed they have changed the image viewer, for example.

Anyone experiencing the same problem?
Any hints?

occasionally (too dang often really) the timer shows the track to be playing, but the audio is not working. It kicks on and off. And just for the record- I hate the Shockwave Flash with a purple passion...
