Suggestion: artist.getTopTracks period parameter

As far as I understand, up to now artist.getTopTracks is on the one hand showing the top tracks for the last 6 months and on the other hand the overall playcounts (which is a bit schizophrenic I guess). Is there any way to add an optional "period" parameter? Much like the one in user.getTopTracks?

I would like to see the following possible values: 1week | 6month | overall .
