    few questions regarding lastfm api

    hi all,

have there been any changes to last.fm api in the last few days? or is there perhaps something like a monthly quote on amount of data that can be obtained through your api per api-key?

I am asking because my webapp stopped working (both the live hosted version and my local development one). I know it might also be just something temporary like - your api went out of service for a short period, but I am still interested in answers to my questions. =)

one more thing. I looked around a bit and I couldn't find any kind of last.fm api changelog. is there such a thing?

    thank you

There is a limit of 5 requests per second. This is calculated as an average over 5 minutes, so in 5 minutes you should not make more than 1500 requsts or your API key might get banned. If you need a higher request quota or your key was banned, please send an e-mail to support@last.fm :)

@Changelog: There is a sticky here in the web services forum (where I moved this topic), but I cannot say how up to date it is :)

Ok, thanks. I don't make that much but it's good to know. =)
