Does MUSIC heals diffrent mental illnesses?

  • Once I saw a documentation on (german) tv, reporting about the healing effect of classical music to babies which were born too early. the doctor sat down in their room and started to play cello. the effects were amazingly good. it helped their physical development.

    look at sound engineers and the stuff they do. i am a music tech student and thats all to do with production software, PA equipment, recroding, synths and stuff....

    I believe this is partly true. I believe music can cause and heal mental illness. It would be interesting to see a study done on the effect of music on mental illnesses. It would be humorous to see doctors prescribing the new "Lady Gaga" album to his/her mental patients haha!!!
