Availability outside US, UK, Germany

  • International Radio

Is there an estimation on when will we have the capability to listn to the Radio when not in the US, UK?

If not foreseen soon, then I find myself paying for a service I will not be able to enjoy.

    Thanks

  • Thanks

    Looking for it.

  • Strange.

    Hello.

Just have to say I find it strange that I who live in Norway cant listen to Last.fm on my android phone, but i can on my pc. Also since the app is available in android market outside the 3 selected lucky countrys.

It actually makes my days at work go slower :( Hoping it will be able to stream musick to my phone soon tough :) Keep on working.

  • This is pretty lame, considering I am paying for the service.

  • Use grooveshark

For listening from mobile, I use grooveshark. It works on android, nokia, iphone. Once you pay, you can listen it anywhere :) It also supports last.fm scrobbling

    Will,
Regarding Mobbler, afaik it doesn't use any specific hacks to overcome the restriction - it just uses the public API last.fm gives to 3rd party developers.

Right. And developers aren't allowed to use that to stream to mobile phones.

I used Mobbler back when I had Nokia handsets and recall it very nearly being shut down when the new mobile radio licensing restrictions were imposed. I'm pretty sure I recall a special deal being made to keep it going on account it had so many users0 and may have been damaging to last.fm if it disappeared overnight.

    Still nothing....

8 months have passed and nothing has changed - I'm payin 3€ /month for service I can't use on my Android phone. First I saw last.fm becoming a paid service in my country, and now this ?!... Last time I checked, last.fm was owned by a multi-million dollar media giant. Can't they afford good lawyers ? Could it be that they are not interested in solving this issue ? Meanwhile the small fish keep paying for nothing.
Last.fm, I'm really disappointed in you, you should care more for your customers outside US, UK and Germany :(

P.S.- I don't care if there are 3rd party alternatives to overcome this issue, as these are neither endorsed nor supported by last.fm. It's the latter who must provide a solution to their customers... or loose them.

I'm in Russia and some time ago the official app stopped playing radio, showing that the service is unavailable. Did they change anything in their policy?
And I do not understand - where's the difference, wheter I listen to last.fm on oc, or on my phone.
