Last.fm API is buggy! Take Track.search for example, if you specify "song for someone", it returns the top song as "song for someone" with artist "u2"; however, if you specify both "song for someone" and "u2" in the query, you get nothing returned.

Hey! Does any of you know if it's possible to get the list of all the events of last.fm? Or some workaround?

I can get top tags for a track, the biggest count is always 100; lowest count can be 0, regardless of the actual playcount. Anyone knows how to interpret this "relative" tag count? Is there a way to access the actual tag count?

FutureViperOwnr is correct - '1month' period for getTopTracks has been broken for a long time and I am getting negative reviews of my app because of it. How can we get this fixed?

It looks like period of '1month' is broken for getTopTracks. Any other period works and using 1month on other operations like getRecentTracks and getTopAlbums works. However, getTopTracks for '1month' returns an empty result set with blank values for page, perPage, and totalPages. That status code returned for the query is still 'ok'. http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=user.gettoptracks&user=rj&api_key=2e2c729bb233afbd0527e45aa6ae17d9&period=1month vs. http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=user.gettoptracks&user=rj&api_key=2e2c729bb233afbd0527e45aa6ae17d9&period=3month

29 Jan 2015, 09:48 artist.getTopAlbums fails randomly. I've been using this endpoint to get an artist album collection, but it seems to fail randomly with some artists. For instance, when trying to get Alt-J albums: I've tried: http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=artist.gettopalbums&artist=alt-J&api_key=5554fc23346ee78a88be13fa9a5201c7 or http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/2.0/?method=artist.gettopalbums&artist=alt%20J&api_key=5554fc23346ee78a88be13fa9a5201c7 ans so on... But, as you can see, the response is empty, despite the fact that the attribute says total="19". Is this a known bug? If so, why isn't this fixed yet? Looks like an important feature imho. Thanks in advance. PS: Don't worry about the api_key, I'll burn it

Hey there :) - does someone know what the timestamp information of a track expresses precisely? Start of song played, end of song playback/end of song, time of scrobbling, middle of the song, anything else? I'd like to create a tracklist where I need precise start or at least end timestamps of each song. Thanks in advance. Or is there a mailing list I am not aware of?

Hello! I call myself searching for this answer in this group but to no avail. If I have somehow overlooked it, I am sorry. Here's my issue. I have an on-line radio station that uses Centova Cast v. 3.04. I do not use the "Auto DJ" feature but rather do a live stream to server. I would like to have the album art come up and be displayed on the website along with the song title and artist using the recently played feature. I know there are some broadcasters that use Last.fm to provide the cover art. I too would like to use Last.fm, however, I know just enough about coding to really mess things up. I am clueless as to where to begin. Is there a script that I can use? Also, I will probably need some instruction of how to make this work. In the version of centova cast that I have, it has Last.fm as a source, it is enabled, but I think this only works on the "Auto DJ feature." View the site at www.riverregionradio.net and look to the right to see example. Thanks in advance!
