Group dedicated to famous Italian horror/thriller director.

Lamberto Bava was born on 3rd of April 1944 in Rome. As a member of third generation of acclaimed people of cinema in his family, had rather no other choice than to start working in movie business. His first credits appeared in 1965, when he was his father's personal assistant on set of "Planet of vampires". In 70's, father-son collaboration became more intense, as Lamberto helped his father to direct his late efforts - "Rabid Dogs", "Shock" and TV drama
"La Venere d'Ille". Both worked on set of Dario Argento's
"Inferno", with Lamberto as assistant director. Next year, he debuted as main man behind camera, directing "Macabre" aka "Frozen terror". Despite mixed reviews of his first solo movie, and after helping Argento with his next masterpiece - "Tenebrae", he directed well-crafted giallo entitled "A blade in the dark". In another year, he worked with Argento (this time, as producer) again, directing "Demons" - until now, his most famous piece of work. He continued creating further horrors (both for cinematic and TV release), in 1989 directing remake/tribute to his fathers "Black Sunday".
Apart from horror genre, he is also man behind fantasy
series "Fantaghiro" (aka The Cave of the Golden Rose). Still active and directing various TV productions, he returned to his horror roots in 2007 with "Ghost Son", starring Pete Postlethwaite and John Hannah.
