This is a fan group for all you Kiros lovers.

The story of Kiros first started on November 7th 1983 at 2:37pm when Barry Mackichan(Bass/Vocals) was born. Only hours later in the same hospital at 7:11pm, Justen Gordon(Drums) came into the World. Skip ahead 16 years to the year 2000 where Barry and Justen ran into each other and found that they shared the same passion for music as well as the same birthday. It wasn't long before the two started writing music together and eventually came across Ryan Guerra who decided to pick up a guitar and join them in the writing process. All three of them together really connected musically and started playing punk rock shows on weekends while attending high school during the week. By this point it was time to think up a name for the band, and "Kiros" was selected due to the meaning behind the name which is, "A Moment of Divine Time."

Come 2002, Kiros were already headlining shows in their hometown of Calgary, and decided to take their show on the road to help promote their newly recorded indie album "Counterproductive." Kiros ended up buying a small trailer that could be attached to Barry's Ford Explorer and traveled all over Western Canada and jumped on a mini tour with Slick Shoes. After being on the road for countless shows, Kiros came back home to Calgary and decided to shoot a music video for the title track "Counterproductive." The video was shot over two days, the first was getting footage from a live Kiros concert at MacEwan Hall where over 800 people were in attendance, and the second half was shot all over downtown Calgary. The video ended up getting into rotation on Much Loud and MTV2 and also scored Kiros a slot and interview on the Much Does Calgary special.

By 2004 Kiros were back in the studio recording their "Fight The Night EP" which was released Nationally through HMV in Canada on June 1st 2004. To support the release Kiros set out on their first ever cross Canada tour as part of the Drive Thru Canadian Invasion Tour alongside the band Allister from Chicago. Kiros continued on to headline their own shows across Canada and jumped on all five of the Canadian Warped Tour dates in 2004. Come September, Kiros teamed up with a company called Absolute and went out once again across Canada on a public high school tour in which they performed as part of an assembly each day. By the end of 2004 Kiros had performed to over 100,000 people in Canada alone and had been on tour for 234 days in a row.

In 2005 Kiros took a few months to stay in Calgary and write new songs as they continued to play sold out shows and mini tours all over Western Canada. For two weeks in April the band drove out to Vancouver to lay down tracks for their new songs. In true Kiros style, their recording time ended on April 24th, and their tour started on April 25th. Their next tour will take them all the way out to the Atlantic Ocean and back through Eastern Canada at which time Kiros will join up with the Vans Warped Tour for the entire summer. We can expect a new album sampler out this summer to bridge the gap to their highly anticipated full length which will be released sometime in 2006
