Katusea is a Helsinki-based independent label/collective founded by Ceebrolistics fame rrimöykk, Pijall and Mattip with Niclas Kristiansson of Po'land. Katusea stands for experimental electronic music, and all sorts of mishmash around it.
Alas is both a club and a radio program run by Katusea. The club has run since January 2006 in Helsinki's top-notch underground venues, Rosegarden, Redrum and Kuudes Linja, and the radio show runs on Bassoradio (102,8 MHz and through internet) every second Wednesday from 8 PM to 10 PM. The trademark sound for both Alas and the Katusea collective varies from ambient to IDM and from minimal techno to dubstep, not to forget the more electronic aspects of hiphop.
