Description:
anyone who love Kara (카라).

Kara (Hangul: 카라) is a K-pop girl group from South Korea signed with DSP Media (DSP). The band name Kara comes from the Greek Word "chara" (χαρά, literally "joy"), which the group interpreted to mean "sweet melody".

Kara started as a four-member group and debuted with their first album The First Blooming in 2007. In 2008, Kim Sunghee (Hangul: 김성희) departed the group due to parental pressure, and two members were brought in; as such, the group consists of five members: Park Gyuri (Hangul: 박규리), Han Seung-yeon (Hangul: 한승연), Koo Hara (Hangul: 구하라), Nicole Jung (Hangul: 정용주) and Kang Jiyoung (Hangul: 강지영). The five-member band achieved their first number one song with "Honey".

The group has released two full-length albums (The First Blooming and Revolution) along with various EP's. Kara has won various awards, including the Best Dance Award at the M.net Asian Music Awards and Best Female Singer at the 16th Korean Entertainment Arts Awards.

The group eventually made their debut in Japan on 2010. By the end of that year, Kara was dubbed as Japan's #1 Rookie Artist of 2010 by Oricon and also received the New Artist Of The Year Award (International) from the Japan Gold Disc Awards.

The group also released their first Japanese album, Girl's Talk which was eventually certified as Platinum by the RIAJ. By February 2011, Kara's "Jumping" and "Mister" singles have received Platinum and double Platinum certificates respectively from RIAJ. In March, Kara was hailed as the first foreign female artist to top Oricon’s Composite DVD Chart and the first foreign artist to top the said chart for 2 consecutive weeks. In April 2011 with their 3rd single "Jet Coaster Love", Kara became the first foreign female group since the creation of the Oricon (43 years ago) to rank #1 in the 1st week of release and the first foreign female group in 30 years to rank #1 in the charts all together. They are also the first Korean girl group to top the Oricon Weekly Single Chart.

On August 4, 2011, the group confirmed that they will be releasing their third official album on mid-September and will resume their activities in South Korea for the first time in over six months. It was also reported by industry representatives that the group has been recording songs for the album during their spare time while they were busy promoting their fourth Japanese single, "Go Go Summer!". DSP Media stated that the group are in the process of reviewing which songs to be used as the lead song from the album.

A teaser video for the full-length album was uploaded on the group's YouTube page on August 29, 2011, showing the girls dressed in glittering dresses and holding onto microphone stands while the song "Kara 4 U (Outro)" can be heard playing in the background. The second teaser was released on September 1, 2011, which was the teaser for their title track's music video. The full music video officially premiered on September 6, 2011. Regarding the concept of the album, the group was also faced with a choice between maintaining their usual bright, cute and youthful concept or transforming into something new.

The title track of the album is "Step" which is a rock-electronica themed song. It was written by producer duo Han Jae Ho and Kim Seung Soo (also known as 'Sweetune') the producers behind "Mister". The limited edition of the album contains a bonus track called "With My Heart (Dear Kamilia)" which is the Korean version of "Ima, Okuritai 「Arigatou」" from their third Japanese single.
