Okay so I like most of the bands on there, but you can't say Depths by Oceano sounds like all the rest of the albums/EPs on there. If you do, then you're clearly deaf.

Joey is NOT by any means a talented producer. His drums and guitars are the worst. Everything is dull and dumbed down on his drums, especially the cymbals, most of which you can't even hear. His guitars have almost no distortion where they need to be distorted. They are also not loud enough.

Joey Produces most of these bands too, which means he changes their songs a bit to be easier to sell to people, hence why all the bands are breakdown-laden and dull. It's mostly the bands fault but that doesn't mean Joey hasn't got any input. The mixing is good but needs switching up

I dunno why Joey gets hated on. His job is to make the record sound good, the content is totally up to the bands. his songs are mixed really well, he's a really talented producer.

Eh, it's an acquired taste. You either like breakdowns or you don't. Though, him producing We Came As Romans actually pointed them in a better direction.

He ruined Confide. Shout The Truth was a fantastic, unique sounding album. Then he produced Recover and turned them into a typical Risecore band. <--- so true.

Definitely the bands and not Joey Sturgis. Listen to the new TDWP track, sounds worse without sturgis, and it's pretty much the same shit.

Rosaline, TDWP, and Plea for Purging are the only unique ones IMO

The mixes he does are actually really good, it's just the fact that they all end up sounding like another artist on rise records every single time. Also, him being a producer is probably the reason there's so many breakdowns littered in almost every rise artist...
