Ivana Jordan was born in Belgrade on July 7th 1977. She has been in music since her childhood. She started composing music since the age of 9. Also, she has finished the Music Academy in Belgrade.

Even though her looks could’ve granted her a very quick success, Ivana didn’t want to make compromises and get herself into very commercial ethno-pop music. Instead, she composed her own songs, which were also with ethnic influences, but she reffers to it as ’quality ethno’. Before the appearance of her latest album ’Dvobojne oči’ (Two-coloured Eyes), her main focus was on international festivals where she could promote Serbian and Montenegrin ethno music and culture.

With the release of the song ’Svetlo koje tražim’ (The Light I’m Looking For), Ivana Jordan has broke all the air-play records, being one of the biggest hits of 2004, neck to neck with Željko Joksimović’s ’Lane moje’. The album that came out shortly after, ’Dvobojne oči’, stayed no1 on the Serbian and Montenegrin album charts for months, and many other songs had quite significant airplay as well.
