  The Lighthouse just about saves OLTA from disappearing up its own arse. Otherwise by-and-large it is a completely self-reflexive, self-parodic, conceited record. I suppose that's what happens if you set the bar sky-high straight off the bat. So thank goodness we still have this though (and most of Antics of course). Album of 2002 with ease, and probably the whole decade too.

  I can't believe I came across comments agreeing that the newest album absolutely BLOWS, such a relief!! People tend to think it's good...other than the Lighthouse and the Scale, perhaps, It's just irritating how Bad it is! grrrr i shall never get over it!! Why'd they switch from Matador??

  no no no... Wrecking Ball yes it's really good... but Heinrich Maneuver is a disaster!!! it's their worst song ever!!! Lighthouse?
