January 2009 will be the final playlist

on the 20th of january i start probation from a case that began in march, which involved me being arrested and my computer seized (the reason for no april08).

According to my probation officer i will have 180 days in jail and a year of probation. i made sure to mention to him "but what about indie/rock playlist?" and he replied "it stops until you're off probation"

so, unless something amazing happens (it won't) that changes the judges mind or probation, i'll be unable to create these playlists, for now.

It's been great! i'll probably miss the music and community more than anyone.

There are quite a few alternatives still, and i'm sure someone else will make an attempt and continuing this playlist or one similar to.

Criz, I've been a heavy listener and a huge fan since I stumbled on your July 2006 list two years ago. If this truly is the end, let me say it's be an absolute pleasure. Opened my eyes to some great bands and some great stuff.

...I know there are many bands that are appreciative, if only the closed-minded and stubborn powers-that-be knew how much influence your grassroots effort had on the industry. ...You will be missed. But the revolution will go on, I'm sure.

I started with the playlists on Dec 07... I sometimes make Dj sets in my area, and for a year I used you playlists to find new and awesome music that I otherwise never had known. Of course, the artists I like would get my money by buying their music.

This is a shame! Started listening May or June 2006, I believe, and have looked forward to your playlists at the beginning of each month ever since. They've been an excellent source of music for me, and are the result of many favourite bands and songs.
I'm sure I speak for many when I say you and the playlists will be greatly missed!
