Immersion : Two (aka Artifact Ghost) is for sure the darkest of all five Immersions. Despite the dark touch it's not heavy dark ambient like Brian Lustmord or Robert Rich, it remains subtle and ethereal but with a mysterious,eerie feel to it.
It's quite similar to Immersion : One in that the whole track is based on a melodic phrase repeated all over the album, which phrase is enriched by multiple layers of drones or non-droney sounds, so it retains the hypnotic and entrancing character of Immersion : One.

Firstly - great group! I'm addicted to all the Immersion albums, especially Immersion: Three (First Light"!!!) Same as user KozmikTentacles mentioned I would add "The Dream Circle" and "A Deeper Silence" to the similiar vibe..... and I would add great albums "Darkest Before Dawn" and "Slow Heat" . "Piece of Infinity" from Mystic Chords and Sacred Spaces fits perfectly. Two next "immersion-like" long pieces are "Revealing the Secret" and "Somewhere Else" recorded with Vidna Obmana, as well as "Spirit Dome" album. I listen to a lot of Mathias Grassow and Klaus Wiese music - a lot of perfect and very much "immersion-oriented" sounds.

@nick Hard to tell. I barely know 1,3,5 - so I'm not rating them untill I give a proper listen. Four is really good, great background for staying up late, purple mist baby. I'm familiarizing myself with 2, but third time in a row I just slept with my headphones on :P Maybe I should listen to it a little earlier than 1-2 am at night

I think there are other subtle long-form pieces that are worth to mention such as The Dream Circle and A Deeper Silence. They fit in here too.

4 - for now. Looks like 2 is kinda ..underappreciated, besides thats Steve's personal favorite immersion.
