Let's looking forward to a new Scenes from a Memory /TOT Mix

I hope the next Album will be much more differentiated, especially the keys really annoy me in Octavarium. More Piano, less supernitendo-leadsound, please!

(i heard 2 songs of the new album are already recorded?)

the keys were annoying you in octavarium?..strange, coz i think that this album/song is very rudess really shines (especially on the score DVDs version of octavarium)

as a keyboarder myself, the last live album gives me shivers all teh way through.

but i can`t wait myself for the new studio album (especially after listening to the new James LaBrie CD)

I don't think the new DT-Album has anything to do with the
style of James' “Elements of Persuasion”. Octavarium was
released after it and has nothing to do with it, too.

That's sad, because some songs of DT are going into a direction
where James isn't the right choice of singer. I love LaBrie, but
on harder songs like “The Glass Prison” or “As I Am” his voice
is fighting against the music. For this kind of music you need
someone like Daniel Gildenlöw (Pain Of Salvation) or Mariusz
Duda (Riverside), singers with great voices who can also “bawl”.

The “Elements of Persuasion”-stuff is perfect for LaBrie and
shows his voice from the best sides.

  • umm... there kinda ain't no dt's song that i dislike... maybe, at when dream and day unite i find some of the songs boring, but that's it :)

here's some of the best... images and words, scenes from a memory, mind beside itself, space-dye vest, endless sacrifice, lines in the sand, these walls, hollow years(budokan)...

In the end, he only sees the change,
    Light to Dark,
    Dark to Light,
    Light to Dark,
    Dark to Light...

raise the knife has an awesome ending

  • btw, anyone listened to DT's Dark Side Of The Moon official bootleg, phenomenal Pink Floyd cover ;)

In the end, he only sees the change,
    Light to Dark,
    Dark to Light,
    Light to Dark,
    Dark to Light...
  • My favourites is actually everything from the I&W album, which is why I joined this group :P

    Songs I dislike:
    -Caught in a web
    -Innocence faded
    -This dying soul
-Honor thy father (one good riff, rest crap)
    -Anna Lee
    -Take away my Pain
    -Panic Attack \w/ wuaaargh

Comparing it with the amount of songs I mainly like/love, DT still is an amazing band...
I'm a little skeptic about the new one though^^
The album name seems a bit pointless (like JP's suspended animation) and the rumour that it's going to be heavier than TOT scare me off a little.

  • Favourites
    The Root of All Evil
    As I Am
    I Walk Beside You
    Through Her Eyes
    Solitary Shell

    Panic Attack
    Never Enough
A big chunk of Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (The song, I like the 1st disc a lot)
I hate to say it but almost all of Images and Words:(

I dont think that will make me very popular.
