Which records have you "borrowed" from your parents' collection?

  • I took albums by The B-52's, The Talking Heads, The Police, Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie from my Dad. The only thing i've taken from my Mom is Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. My Mom doesn't have all that great of taste.

    Well my mum and dd do not listen to records any more so I have my mums record player and I am making my dad go in the loft and get all the ones that I like down

    So far, I've only borrowed my mom's copy of the Queen Greatest Hits album. I've also asked my dad if I could borrow one of his Jeff Beck CDs (I forget which one), but he forgot to give it to me. I'll have to ask him again.

  • At the moment I'm borrowing these from my dad:

  • about 60% of the vinyl i keep in my room is actually my dad's. he has hundreds of vinyl, including every stones & dylan record and recently i found the piper at the gates of dawn which i was very happy about :)

    he doesn't mind though, i think he's quite pleased that i'm taking an interest in that sort of music haha

  • One day when they were not at home, I just took all their CD's and they never said anything about it :"D. My mom used to have a rather soft taste in music, she listened to Jackson Browne, Chris de Burgh and ABBA hahaha. My father however was a rocker, I stole more kind of music from him, like Deep Purple and stuff. After they met, they visited gigs like Pink Floyd and Scorpions together so I'm happy about that so I can steal nice CD's from my mom too.

    My stolen collection contains this:
    Queen, Golden Earring, Santana, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly, Scorpions, Fleetwood Mac, Toto, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Uriah Heep, Eagles, Alan Parsons Project, Bryan Adams, Supertramp, ELO, Chris de Burgh, Loreena McKennitt and some more I don't listen to haha :")
