I used to buy music every month from iTunes, but since discovering lossless audio files I've gone back to buying CDs and convert those myself. I still buy albums from iTunes occasionally, when the CDs are out of print or not available on Spotify (the latter happens more than I thought). Also iTunes can be great to discover new artists.

"I usually only buy music on iTunes when I can't find the CD in stores anywhere or if I do, it costs some stupid amount like $30 which I don't want to pay" I do exactly the same thing.

That's better than the zero percent they'd get if the album wasn't available. 100% purchased digital music.. 'sounds great and have a lot of extra room without all those CDs taking up space. If I lose it all in a crash.. I'll have fun supporting the artist and the labels all over again!

Losers. They give you worse quality music than CDs, you can't "touch" them and the bands get 10% of the price, the rest goes to iTunes and labels.

Yes, I do buy music on iTunes. It is quite simple. Buying music from Pakistan, Iran, Hong Kong, Mongolia is impossible in the music shops here. If it was that easy I would have bought the albums already. Thanks to itunes I can find most (not all) music that I really want to buy. My back up is a bunch of CD's and usb sticks ofcourse, not just my computer!!
