    Local.fm alternative "Last.fm M3U Filter"

Hope amrhassan doesn’t mind this post.
Since I was unable to make Local.fm work on my Vista X64 I've built my own.
I've never used Local.fm so I don't know the difference between both programs.
    Anyway.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Last.fm M3U Filter 1.1
This program was written in Java so if you don't know how to execute a .jar file google it.

With this program you can generate two kinds of playlists based on your Last.fm lists:

    -"Top Tacks" playlist
    -"Loved Tracks" Playlist

All you need is a M3U playlist with ALL your tracks.

Please read all README.txt before using it.

    Download! (Updated to 1.1)

tomorrow i'm starting to code :P
The first version only reads the first page (50 tracks) of your "loved tracks" I have to modify it so it reads all available pages.
I'll post it here when it's done.
    chears!

  • yeah

believe me, i'm waiting for this ;)

    hi!
    thank you for your work!
although, it seems to me that your program is parsing the website... why don't you simply use the API instead?: http://www.last.fm/api

    nice idea with m3u-playlist though!

    Yea, you got it.
I didn't know where to find that info at the time :P
Anyways the api is limited to 50 tracks, my program isn't.
    Chears!

I assumed that "the whole last.fm-user-musiclibrary" it`s the same as the all_mp3.m3u

jeje i wonder too. I don't understand the rest of your post :P sorry.

  • I assumed that "the whole last.fm-user-musiclibrary" it`s the same as the all_mp3.m3u

as far as i can see, no one has all of his local tracks in the musiclibrary

I don't understand the rest of your post :P sorry.

charts... i was talkin about charts ;)
for example: the toptracks from 01.01-2008 to 01.06.2008

with local.fm you can create default last.fm-charts (overall/year/6month/...) and all weekcharts but no custom period
