  • Works very nice :D

I use it to sync some of my playlists to my mobile its a very nice way to sort my music by tag etc

    I love it!

    Thanks for your hard work.

It does crash sometimes on start up on my vista pc but normally starts no problems 2nd time around.

Think its something to do with the UAC (It don't normally run with out elevation) but its not a major problem & I find it very useful :)

    Well done :)
    I already love it :)

    remarks:
    1. Vista: vista dialog box pops up saying program has crashed...but it works anyway...just moved the box to the side :D

    2. Do I have to type complete artist and track for similar tracks playlist?? pretty cumbersome, no!?

    3. Enqueue instead of playing instantly would be great :)

    Keep up the good work!!

    Agree, great piece of software.

    remarks:
    1. Sometimes it doesn't get the tracks from the webpage (no data error), but it works if i enter the tagtitle a second time

    2. Sorting by artist/title/state by clicking on the corresponding track would be cool.

    Band: Wake up Call!
    Latest Release: No Other Way

  • @leedwest: you're welcome :). i'm getting a vista soon to see what's this all about..

@jokizwo: you could try fetching the currently playing track in the last.fm client. i do it all the time :D
i'll see if i can autocomplete using the metadata from the music library.

@roman2: you probably have a connection problem. or maybe a firewall?

Thanks for the new release. The additional format support means I can now include 100% of my local library.

Only problem I noticed on WXP is a reproducible exception when:
    - Select Media Library -> Browse a Directory
    - Click OK without adding any folders

Needs a test for an empty object.

    Another glitch

Abort (non recoverable) in SqlLite module while adding a directory to library. Suspect very long path or meta-data caused problem. I removed suspect folder from directory and completed add successfully.

    Suspect path:

    G:\MP3Pro\
    Canadian Cast Recording\
Phantom of the Opera [Canadian Cast]\
Colm Wilkinson - Donna Kelly - Farmer, Holly Frances - Neve Campbell - Rebecca Caine - Smith, Ba - Susan Burk - Suzanne Brown - The Point of No Return- Down Once More.mp3

    -----Update-----
    Renamed files from %artist% - %title% to %track% - %title% using MP3Tag.

e.g. ...\16 - The Point of No Return Down Once More.mp3

Reran scan on suspect folder. Error recurred. Probably meta-data (artist?).

in vista: as a workaround try running it with administrator rights

  • madowyn: could you please upload that mp3 file somewhere and pm me the link?

jokizwo: great, cause i found out that my poor machine can't take vista, so i may not be able to test it on vista myself.. sorry.

just an idea is catching a song file by drag n drop into the program...

edit: WOW I thought you mean copy&paste, now I found that tiny icon in the corner to fetch from last.fm client :D

  • Works nicely but just a quick question (forgive me if its been asked before), do the lists update ever?

Or do they stay the same from whenever you downloaded local.fm?

  • hmmm.. a generated playlist (like m3u, wpl, etc...) is static. so it doesn't update. if you like to generate the playlist again some other time when more tracks might be available, you can use the "save session" feature, which saves the current playlist configuration so it can be regenerated for you again whenever needed.
i hope that this is what you were asking about :)

jitDebugging in het gedeelte system.windows.forms zijn ingesteld.
De toepassing moet ook zijn gecompileerd terwijl foutopsporing

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    m3u is wpl

"Save Playlist as..." m3u has .m3u extension but internally is .wpl format.

  • Same thing mentioned above is happening to me.
    Newest version, WinXP SP2.

  • yes, i'm aware now of the bug.. a fix is coming really soon.. sorry for the delay, i've been caught up in a couple of things..

    edit
    fixed now. please update..

    under vista now:
with rights on -> local.fm crashes.
rights off -> it tells me that it needs administrator rights

  • hmmm.. now i know why people hate vista so much!
here's a special build that doesn't check for admin rights download. try it out and let me know how it goes..

  • A great tool! Thanks a lot for providing this. :D
