    Movies:

Until The End Of The World. I've never seen the movie and have no idea what it's about, other than, well, the end of the world. But I picked up the soundtrack at a thrift store because it happened to have a lot of artists I like on it (Talking Heads, Nick Cave, REM, Elvis Costello, etc. It's a good listen for a rainy day.
    Singles
    Dazed And Confused
First Love Last Rites. oddly enough, another movie I've never actually seen - the soundtrack is done by one of my favorite bands, Shudder To Think, with lots of guest vocalists.
Coraline. I don't actually own this, but I've got to get it sometime - the score was one of my favorite things about the movie

    TV:
Someone else said Twin Peaks already, and I've got to agree
Polaris - Music From The Adventures Of Pete And Pete
The Venture Brothers (I've honestly only seen a few episodes of the show, but the music is so great I had to hunt this down)

    Video Games:
    Katamari Damacy

    Anything Enio Morricone
    Godfather trilogy

Though to be modern, the Lord of the Rings films had glorious soundtracks, as did the originally composed music for Donnie Darko and Let the Right One in. As compilations go, you have to say Quentin Tarantino knows what he's doing with Pulp Fiction being my personal favourite.

Special mention to Highway, which had one hell of a Desert soundtrack.

Sayonara, not to be confused with cyanide, which is, of course, goodbye in any language.
