Music snobs are one of those people that i can't deal with without being annoyed and angry, i try to not give a shit, but i can't. T_T

    @phoenixyus forums are very acvtive.

I am one, but I dislike meeting other. What a pitiful hypocrite I must be :(

  • Alin_El_Rene

Well I like wide variety of music, from metal to soft, from West to East, from something I do understand and don't. I'm just saying that I don't specify the genre. I listen to Western song, Japan, Korea, Chinese, and a lot more. It's just a matter of taste.

For all the members, there's really no activity here. What gives.

  • TheDarkSide73

I personally noticed that the biggest music snobs are the hardcore hip hop fans (speaking from experience)..They always give dirty looks if they see somebody with a rock or heavy metal t-shirt on..And plus they play their music really loud in their cars because they think everybody should listen to the same crap they listen to..

    Music snobs eat shit

    May 2013
  • Candyheart33

    Yes Randwer, I agree!

    May 2013
  • Thizzia

@Dudee for what you express you are not a snob, you just love your rock. Seem like you don't snub people or arrass them. It's ok, me thinks :)

  • BreakfastPills

I've reached a point in my life where I find essentially all music enjoyable. I recently began a country music phase, which, yes, includes the likes of Garth Brooks and Shania Twain. If someone had told punk/metal teenage me 10 years ago that I'd be listening to mainstream country, I'd probably have a peed my trousers. Non-stop for a month.

  • Dudee-

I joined quite a while ago, but meanwhile I have to admit I am a music snob, too. Not because I want it, but because the rock genre gives me everything I want and everything else just seems like "not my thing". Not that everything besides rock is bad, but there is few I'm listening to from time to time. Anyway I stay here because of [1] da Lulz (and) [2] the goddamn cause!

    May 2013
  • Randwer

yes, TheDarkSide73, with their nasty shouts those 'snobs' tell more about themselves than about the artist they dislike.:D

    May 2013
  • TheDarkSide73

I don't know if this has anything to do with being a music snob but i can't stand people who leave nasty comments on artist pages they don't like or listen to..If you like them then shut the hell up and don't listen to them..

    May 2013
  • Abomination317

I still reserve the right to hate on certain artists, just not in a snobby way/

    April 2013

    Good on ya

  • Charity_Pierce

I like Lana Del Rey and I don't care what the haters say.

    March 2013
  • EviRocks

Music snobs told that my favourite bands are shit. I don't agree.

    February 2013
  • Abomination317

The human voice is just another instrument in my eyes. I barely pay any attention to the lyrics, whether I can understand them or not. I like the relate to music, but I don't need actual words to do that.

    February 2013
  • macychick

I like bluegrass too. I'm not much into mainstream country like Taylor Swift or Mumford & Sons, but I do like bluegrass and "roots" style country such as Allison Krauss and Gillian Welch.

    February 2013
  • Charity_Pierce

It seems to me most people snob Bluegrass, but I like it. Banjos FTW!

    January 2013
  • Brokenshelf

@celery_2008 Judging music by appearance is exactly what you're doing.

    January 2013
  • minkichi

@macychick, I totally agree with you, I need songs that I can relate to, so I prefer songs in English. I don't even care much for songs in my mother tongue, they just don't feel the same idk. It needs to be English for me. And I don't care much for instrumentals either, though I like some classical music.

    December 2012
  • bugamartini

@Charity_Pierce I totally agree. Unfortunately we may be outnumbered by the hipsters, though. :(

    December 2012
  • Charity_Pierce

Hipsters who snob all mainstream music simply because it's mainstream, annoy me a lot. <_<

    November 2012
  • Harel2010

@celer2008 Some listen to artists because of their vocal abilities and unique voice, even if they don't play any instrument, that means they don't listen to music?

    November 2012
  • jeanalisson2006

    @celer2008 >implying the voice isn't a musical instrument.

    November 2012
  • Candyheart33

    @celer2008: You're joking, right?

    November 2012
  • Candyheart33

@MuzykoLubna: Disagree completely, what's considered "good" and "bad" is just what most people consider good and bad. Doesn't mean that Pink Floyd is any better than Lady Gaga. No such thing as "good" music other than your own personal opinion. Complexity doesn't come into it.

    November 2012
  • Charity_Pierce

So Frank Sinatra isn't music because he didn't play any instruments? Shuddup.

    November 2012
  • celer2008

If you look at the artist pictures in your library and you don't spot any music instruments, not even a single one, then you're not really listening to music, you're in it for the appearances.

    November 2012
  • Harel2010

There are too much of them :\

    November 2012
  • Luna-Obscura

@Charity_Pierce, there are snobbish metalheads out there, that's right, but not all metalheads are snobs and not all snobs are metalheads. I am sure there are as many snobbish metalheads as snobbish people, who listen to pop/rock/classical music/electronic music/...

  • macychick

But at the same time, if you don't want to listen to music where you can't understand the singer's language, that's not a bad thing nor does it make you racist or anything. It just means that listening to the lyrics is important to you. I'm not crazy about songs where I can't understand the lyrics for the same reason I'm not crazy about instrumental music: I like listening to the lyrics and finding meaning in them as I am a very verbal person. And people who think less of me for my preference are just as snobby as people who think less of you for preferring songs in languages you don't understand.

  • Charity_Pierce

Metalheads that go around bashing artists and genres <_<

I often get snobbed for my music taste. Especially KPOP. Does anyone else just find it incredibly annoying when people give the excuse of not liking foreign artists because "they can't understand what they're singing" ?

    July 2012
  • Candyheart33

I thought Kings of Leon were "in" too!

    July 2012
  • Thizzia

Oh my, our randomized "Connected artists" sections sometimes are SO funny. So different artist mixed, weird ones, mainstream ones, ... it's funny in a nice way, of course. :)

    June 2012
  • Thizzia

Ok guys, added them all. Keep 'em coming - but I wish that didn't happen... it only means more snobbery on this world. - or Last.fm, anyways :)

    June 2012
  • Thizzia

Kings of Leon? I thought they were IT! Oh man, I'm so outdated.

    June 2012
  • Charity_Pierce

Mika, P!nk, Brandy, KC & the Sunshine Band, Kings of Leon

People snob me a lot for liking Glee. I like a lot of music, and I like musicals, and covers because they are fun. Kind of tired of defending my taste to haters. I love all kinds of music (except metal, tbh). And so what if Glee is my "top artist" on here after one year? That's hardly representative of my lifetime listening history. A lot of stuff I listen to doesn't even get scrobbled anyways.

    May 2012
  • Filippo2192

@Thizzia many people are hating Marina & the Diamonds because some songs of her second album 'Electra Heart' have a more mainstream production and they call her a sell-out. Actually it's a very deep album

    May 2012
  • Thizzia

Hey guys, please collaborate telling me about new bands that are getting snobbed. Everyday a new artist hits the mainstream or something, and the hate begins. Please let me know, so I can I add them to the 'artists connections' - that helps to promote our group better :)

    May 2012
  • Axiemeister

of course our chart is like that. if you joined this group it's because you've been snobbed. they are all current mainstream pop and that's what makes music snobs snob people. i don't see any problem with that chart ^_^
