Nobody should tell you what you have to listen to, what sucks and what not. Taste is a personal thing. If you like a song, it's because that song makes you feel something. It moves you. That's it....

So you're tired of people bashing artists in their shoutboxes - and bullying you about what is music and what is not? Join us! We have a very active message board and a great and friendly community with a wide range of music preferences!

Nobody should tell you what you can or cannot listen to.
Nobody should tell what sucks and what not, cause nothing sucks: taste is a personal and subjetive thing.
If you like a song, it's because that song makes you laugh, cry, dance, jump, shout...etc. That song makes you feel something. It moves you. That's it, that's what matters.

We are another "hate" group, but we actually don't hate anyone. Look at our ostrich pouting: isn't she cute? ;)

Bjork makes a very good point here:

I hate classical music snobs who think that any singer who doesn't have "right" technique is a bad singer.

I've reached a point in my life where I find essentially all music enjoyable. I recently began a country music phase, which, yes, includes the likes of Garth Brooks and Shania Twain. If someone had told punk/metal teenage me 10 years ago that I'd be listening to mainstream country, I'd probably have a peed my trousers. Non-stop for a month.

I joined quite a while ago, but meanwhile I have to admit I am a music snob, too. Not because I want it, but because the rock genre gives me everything I want and everything else just seems like "not my thing". Not that everything besides rock is bad, but there is few I'm listening to from time to time. Anyway I stay here because of [1] da Lulz (and) [2] the goddamn cause!

yes, TheDarkSide73, with their nasty shouts those 'snobs' tell more about themselves than about the artist they dislike.:D

I don't know if this has anything to do with being a music snob but i can't stand people who leave nasty comments on artist pages they don't like or listen to..If you like them then shut the hell up and don't listen to them..

I still reserve the right to hate on certain artists, just not in a snobby way/

Music snobs told that my favourite bands are shit. I don't agree.

The human voice is just another instrument in my eyes. I barely pay any attention to the lyrics, whether I can understand them or not. I like the relate to music, but I don't need actual words to do that.

I like bluegrass too. I'm not much into mainstream country like Taylor Swift or Mumford & Sons, but I do like bluegrass and "roots" style country such as Allison Krauss and Gillian Welch.

It seems to me most people snob Bluegrass, but I like it. Banjos FTW!

@celery_2008 Judging music by appearance is exactly what you're doing.

@macychick, I totally agree with you, I need songs that I can relate to, so I prefer songs in English. I don't even care much for songs in my mother tongue, they just don't feel the same idk. It needs to be English for me. And I don't care much for instrumentals either, though I like some classical music.

@Charity_Pierce I totally agree. Unfortunately we may be outnumbered by the hipsters, though. :(

Hipsters who snob all mainstream music simply because it's mainstream, annoy me a lot. <_<

@celer2008 Some listen to artists because of their vocal abilities and unique voice, even if they don't play any instrument, that means they don't listen to music?

    @celer2008 >implying the voice isn't a musical instrument.

@MuzykoLubna: Disagree completely, what's considered "good" and "bad" is just what most people consider good and bad. Doesn't mean that Pink Floyd is any better than Lady Gaga. No such thing as "good" music other than your own personal opinion. Complexity doesn't come into it.
