 This group is for fans of great songwriting, stellar musicianship, authenticity and a sense of musical history around every song. Lyrics are important to listen to, and we enjoy long instrumental passages equally as well.

Everyone has broad taste; wide variety. We like eclectic bands. We enjoy hearing new bands AND researching older music and where our music comes from.

We love going to shows.

These artists often combine 2 or more genres of music (such as bluegrass + rock + funk + metal + blues + jazz + country + soul + punk + prog rock + folk + classic rock, in different combinations) to make a fresh new original sound.

The group name comes from the Driving Song lyric by Widespread Panic, "An honest tune with a lingering lead has taken me this far!"

The podcasts and music of Honest Tunes Radio Show on KXUA include some of this group's Favorite Bands and the DJ (disc jockey) and producer of the show, Dgold, seeks your recommendations for new bands to add to the radio show roster.
