For those who think that Homer is the greatest character in "The Simpsons" and in the entire world :)
D'oh!

Homer Jay Simpson is a fictional character in the animated television series The Simpsons, voiced by Dan Castellaneta. He has become a popular cartoon character along with the rest of his family and is known especially for his annoyed grunt "D'oh!", which has been included in the Oxford English Dictionary. Homer is named after the father of the show's creator Matt Groening. His voice was originally based on that of Walter Matthau.

Homer embodies several American working class stereotypes. He is crude, overweight, incompetent, intolerant, clumsy, thoughtless and a borderline alcoholic. Despite his apparent blue-collar status, he has had a number of remarkable experiences. And although he is gluttonous, lazy and often simple-minded, he has displayed flashes of brilliance and an integrity reflecting his own values. Partly due to these contradictory attributes, Homer is considered by many to be the greatest comic creation of modern times.

    Just rewatched Season 1 of the series and compared it with the current season; my, how things have changed! Back then, everything was more plot- and character-driven and funnier; the episodes during the more recent seasons emphasize hijinks and are less funny than the eary seasons :-( Nevertheless, it's good for an occasional chuckle or two.

    I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around a city, keeping its speed over 50, and if its speed changed, it would explode! I think it was called, The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down.
