Hi there, my interest in this group is starting to lack a bit, but I won't give it up just yet. But what I do want is help to add all the new artists/users to this group. You may have noticed the decreased rate of adding new people, and that's because I just don't have that much time for it right now. So if you are a person (preferably) who would like to have the rights to edit this group, and want to help add new artists, let me know in this thread. You need to be fairly serious about what you are doing for this to work out.
¤ You need to follow the rules and formatting style while adding and cataloguing users/artists, and of course you are not allowed to trash anything.
¤ You will be using the regular "¤ [ user]'username'[ /user] = 'real name' (otherwise 'stage name') of [ artist]'artist'[ /artist]" formula (remove the spaces from the brackets).
¤ The list is sorted alphabetically by username, and if there are more than one artist linked to an account, they are also listed alphabetically by that user.
¤ Only add, remove or change the artists/users in the text field, if you would like to change anything else - ask me first.
¤ If an artist removes his/her Last.fm account, remove that user from the list.
¤ ALWAYS check the spelling/capitalization of new contributions, don't just copy-paste them.
¤ If it's possible, enter the real name in the 'real name' field, and not their artist name. If you don't know their real name, then add their stage name (which may be different from the name of the music project or band). If you don't know the artist name or real name of a person, leave the 'real name' field and just make a 'user account' = 'artist' thing. Note: If you know an artist's real / stage name, and they have a music project by the same name, you put that name into the 'real name' field as well, like Alec_Empire = Alec Empire of Alec Empire, even if it's unnecessary.
¤ When you add a new artist in the text box, leave a comment in that artist's shout box with this group's name as a link that will take them to this group. This way you let people know you've linked the group to that artist, and you also help promote the group.
¤ If a user doesn't want to be mentioned in this group, you should remove them from the list.
¤ I will make a list of the new admins so that people can contact them when they want to contribute to the group.
¤ I have no idea of how we should tackle the issue of people saving different info at the same time... (like the old info being saved again and the new entry from someone else removed while adding info simultaneously).
¤ Etc, check how I have done things so far.
¤ I'm thinking maybe 3 people would be enough for this task.
