Bands you never liked...

Exodus and Kreator would be my big ones. First listening to Bonded By Blood made my ears ache from Paul Baloffs vocals. Gave it a few more listenings and am loving them now. Pleasure To Kill was my first Kreator album. I thought it was alright a bit unfocused. Now after having listened to it many more times I have grown to appreciate it.

This is a difficult question because generally if a band doesn't impress me on the first few listens I give up with them, so I can't really claim to be a fair judge of these.

The only Exodus track I ever recall really liking was their cover of Low Rider. I never really liked any of the original tracks I heard, but I only listened to a handful.

Bonded By Blood is such a classic. The only thing that turned me off was Paul Baloffs voice. Once I got past that I could enjoy it for what it is great thrash!

Bands I never liked and will never like: Iced Earth and Blind Guardian. God, Matt Barlow and Hansi's vocals sure give me headaches and never liked Jon's playing. I kind of like early BG but that's it. Valhalla is cool and nice to sing along.

Never Liked some bands like dragonforce, sonata artica...
Seens so artificial to me.

Dark Throne seens too much noise, not a good souding band.

I liked rhapsody, but when i was 12, 13...

after that i sundely started to hate the band sound...

Cannibal Corpse, everyone likes them, but I hate them. And yes, I am a fan of death metal. Just, never liked them. Also, any band that uses pig squeels in their music, I think that shit's retarded. So, is this "bands you never liked but like now?" don't have any of those, but I do have bands I used to like but now hate upon listening to good music. I'm still haunted by the memories of wait and bleed, and bleeding mascera. How embarassing it is, looking back on it now...

EDIT: oh, i used to not stand black metal. But then I listened to more melodic/symphonic bm and started to like it. That, and ever since I started playing the style, i've gotten a new admiration for it. Still not a huge fan, tho.

Well go back and reread your original post. It leads people to think this is a hate thread.

That being said I'd have to say Nevermore. I could not stand Warrel's voice at first for some reason because he had this tone that just bothered me. I went back and really listened to what they were doing there though and it was like a lightbulb went off in my head.

Perfect balance of thrash and prog. His solo album is awesome as well.

I could NEVER stand gothic metal bands, fronted by soprano singers, such as nightwish. I simply hate them.
