  i joined this group a couple months ago and they do organized swaps of mixtapes ( or cd's/digital mixes online). so far i've received tapes from norway, winnipeg, and manhattan and heard a lot of music i would never check out if left to my own meanderings. it's been great. after joining the group, you sign up for the following month on their discussion board, then you're set up with somebody you've never traded with and they send you a mixtape in the mail. you have until the end of the month to send one out back to them. one thing i like too is that you don't have to do it every month; whenever you feel like it just sign up for the upcoming month. like i said, with this group i've heard a lot of good music that's outside of what i would stumble upon day to day. check it out: http://www.last.fm/group/Last.fm+Mix-Tape+Trading
