This is a group dedicated to celebrating great music from movie and movies really do go together, don't you think???

The group photo will from time to time celebrate photos of great actors or great soundtrack covers...feel free to make suggestions about what the group photo should be.

The current group photo is a portrait cover for the film, LADY SINGS THE BLUES from 1972. The movie, known for its Oscar nominated role for music legend Diana Ross, also is famous for being a #1 soundtrack of Ms. Ross' renditions of many songs associated with blues and jazz icon, Billie Holiday.

Three of the best soundtracks in modern times have been playing in my library recently -- BOBBY, JASON'S LYRIC & WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT. Each one special and unique in its own way! Revisit them as soon as you can. I think you might agree.

The "Waiting To Exhale" soundtrack is still one of the best listens there is in modern cinema. It's a very simple case of the music far-outliving the film! If you haven't listened to it in a while, I suggest you do so soon! No duds.

An obvious choice would be the Bodyguard soundtrack, especially now.

First week of February 2012 -- Soundtrack Double-Header this week, BOOMERANG and WAITING TO EXHALE. Two great film soundtracks, great pop songs that out-live the films themselves. All members encouraged to revisit these classics : -]]]

Thank you for the invitation. I am from a time when soundtrack music ruled the airwaves. Times have definitely changed, though. A favorite soundtrack song of mine is "Alfie". Dionne Warwick's is the version I love most.
