    youscrobble

You can watch a video on youtube and scrobble it to last.fm
    http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/34012

im happy about feedback (about wheter the design works, and any other stuff)

i think about a way to verify the input data (like checking musicbrainz, or last.fm itself..)
Because you can abuse it to scrobble what you want at this state..

I've been thinking about this, and it's a good idea. Don't really listen to music on youtube, but know about a lot of people doing it. I'll check it out for some time. :-)

For Seamonkey you need to try this version:

    http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/modifiedmisc.html#greasemonkey

There seems to be a number of problems - the script doesn't "see" how long the video is under seamonkey, and thus doesn't enable the scrobble button.

Did I hear that right? Mondegreens - for the misheard word.

Greasemonkey newbie here. Well there's text that says Audio Scrobbler and scrobble, but if I click it with my mouse emulator it doesn't seem to scrobble at all. Bummer.

  • Seems to work fine for me - no problems at all, but still has the potential for people to scrobble anything they want (but filling their profiles with nonsense is their loss I suppose)

Lovely little greasemonkey app - especially like the layout and placement of button and pop-out form.

    Thanks

There's a form? Ah well that explains it. So what, you just watch a video, click scrobble, then write in artist, album and track you want it to scrobble in the form? Probably pops up at the bottom of the DOM like those last.fm drop-downs, I'll have to try to find it next time.

If you find bugs please post them here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/discuss/34012
i don't look often into this thread :(

actually the form layer should be above the video (it resets the .swf display on load of page to enable this, iirc xD)

Yeah, the form's not accessible to my screen reader at all. All that shows up is some text that says audioscrobbler.com, and scrobble. It also freezes Firefox or my screen reader or both when the video is playing and has focus.
